Is it possible to reinstall a used artificial grass field in accordance with the certification standards of the Belgian football association?
After a thorough analysis of the applicable regulations, technical guidelines, and certification criteria, and in consultation with our suppliers, we reached a well-founded conclusion:
the reinstallation of a used artificial grass field according to the standards of the football association is technically feasible.
The perfect challenge for Pelser Bv, now an experienced expert in the Benelux regarding Secondlife artificial grass.
The biggest challenge was finding a suitable artificial grass field that was taken out of use for reasons other than wear and tear. The reuse of a field is only justified when the fiber structure, backing, and remaining lifespan meet the technical requirements. After screening by our supplier, an artificial grass field was selected that had only been in use for a few years and was demonstrably suitable for reinstallation.
In parallel, the substructure was prepared according to the applicable guidelines, including foundation, flatness, slope, and water permeability. After the earthworks were completed, the installation could be started.
The installation was carried out according to a set step-by-step plan:
Correct alignment and positioning of the strips so that the lines present in the rolls are perfectly aligned.
Customizing the purchased field to the dimensions of the new field.
Professional gluing of the seams.
Controlled spreading and distribution of the infill material.
Mechanical brushing and leveling of the playing surface.
Installation of the goals.
After installation, the field was thoroughly checked again in preparation for the inspection according to the requirements of the football association.
